All of the other videos I have researched recently show me about the "stiff" and "flood" icing. Do you do this with this recipe? it looks so nice and thick. Would this be considered your stiff icing? Like for outlining? Or do you just thin it as you need it? Thx for any help. I have spent the last 2 hours going over all your blog...LOVE "singing voice" It!!! The corn syrup seems to add a bit of sparkle and shine, but doesn't appear to affect drying. You can leave it out if it worries you, I don't know that it changes the look that much :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16173908481110223640noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4929805607401903225.post-69904782037537268682012-05-18T12:55:23.357-07:002012-05-18T12:55:23.357-07:00Thanks for this, Samantha! Just don't beat longer than 5-6 minutes. I have heard if you overbeat it the icing will be really fine and crumple when it dries like sand, rather staying hard and holding it's shape. It's never happened to me (yet) so I don'y know how to explain it any better. Once your icing is thick and double in size, just turn off the mixer and make sure it's all blended together. It should be fine. RI is very forgiving :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16173908481110223640noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4929805607401903225.post-84178377158433525452012-05-18T09:47:12.026-07:002012-05-18T09:47:12.026-07:00Thanks Melissa :)Thanks Melissa :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16173908481110223640noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4929805607401903225.post-41097535590993660022012-05-18T09:26:44.986-07:002012-05-18T09:26:44.986-07:00How do you tell if the frosting is over beat? How do you tell if the frosting is over beat?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4929805607401903225.post-65212906439758295762012-05-18T08:40:46.415-07:002012-05-18T08:40:46.415-07:00Love this pictorial.Love this pictorial. The Baked Equationhttp://www.thebakedequation.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4929805607401903225.post-83638611791106454442012-05-18T08:11:04.735-07:002012-05-18T08:11:04.735-07:00Hope you found it useful Kathia :)Hope you found it useful Kathia :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16173908481110223640noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4929805607401903225.post-29172305430797936362012-05-18T08:06:12.151-07:002012-05-18T08:06:12.151-07:00Oh thanks for sharing your recipe.
