Kansas is famous for..?

The Wizard of Oz of course!

Made these cookies by request for an army wife, who's neighbors are being relocated to Kansas.

She's throwing a big going away party for the whole family and wanted something special to tell them goodbye.
And what better way to send someone off to Kansas than with these beautiful cookies?
Had to have the tornado :)

I love how these turned out. A little bit Dorothy, without going overboard.

And the iconic yellow brick road. You can't get to the Emerald city any other way!

So cute! My daughter needs cookies to represent Kansas. How did you make the tornado shape or can I buy that cookie cutter?

Sorry for the late response Julie, I googled tornado clip art, and printed on I liked. Cut it out and laid it directly onto the dough to cut out the cookies! Have fun!
